The Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA) is a unified network of rape crisis centers, envisioning a world free of sexual violence.
ICASA is a not-for-profit corporation of 31 community-based sexual assault crisis centers working together to end sexual violence. Each center provides 24-hour crisis intervention services, counseling and advocacy for victims of sexual assault and their significant others. Each center presents prevention education programs in Illinois schools and communities.
Illinois Budget Falls Short: ICASA was extremely disappointed to learn that the funding crisis facing sexual assault services was not addressed in the State of Illinois budget proposed by Governor Pritzker. Sexual assault services have not received a significant increase in state General Revenue funding in more than 20 years and had requested $20 million in state funding. The continued lack of increase has come to a head as satellite offices have been forced to close and survivors across the state have been placed on waiting lists for services. Contact your legislators and ask them to support increased funding for rape crisis services.Learn More
