ICASA developed the Moving Prevention Forward Project: Setting an Agenda to End Sexual Violence, Prevention to increase understanding of ICASA’s current partnerships (including gaps in partnerships), and how these partnerships are or are not meeting the current and future needs of primary prevention and health equity work in Illinois. This external capacity assessment involved surveys, individual and group meetings, listening sessions, and a symposium.
The Moving Prevention Forward Symposium (March 2024) had two main goals: to assemble key careholders from across Illinois to set an agenda for ICASA’s sexual assault prevention priorities, and to connect, educate, and support these careholders’ passion for the primary prevention of sexual violence.
From these efforts, the Moving Prevention Forward report was created along with a systems dynamics model and careholders map of sexual violence primary prevention implementation in Illinois. ICASA is grateful to Dr. Nicole Allen and Agnes Rieger as well as all our partners and participants who made the development of these resources possible.
